Do you love being on the water? Do you enjoy Pilates? Or have you never tried Pilates but always wanted to? Join us for an invigorating and toning fitness class, floating on one of our O'Shea Yoga+Fit Paddleboards on the water, at one with the elements.

Why practise Pilates indoors on land when you can practise in the great outdoors on the water! Breathe in the fresh Abersoch sea air for this unique exercise experience, exclusive to Offaxis. This class is suitable for all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. No prior Pilates or Paddleboarding experience necessary.

What to expect


We are running these sessions every week at the times and days shown below. Sessions will run from our shack at the Warren beach or from Pwllheli Marina (location will vary dependent on conditions). Sessions are weather/conditions dependent so please keep your mobile handy in case we need to call to rearrange to a better weather day. The cost is £15 per person and includes all necessary equipment and 45 minutes of Pilates on the paddleboards. Please bring your own towel, sun cream, drinking water and wear appropriate attire, such as gym gear or a long swimsuit. 


About our instructor

Sessions are delivered by local Pilates instructor, Elaine Norcross. Elaine is a Level 3 Body Control qualified Pilates instructor who has been teaching fitness for 35 years (more years than she would like to admit!). She has been teaching Pilates for 16 years and is passionate about paddleboarding and being out on the water. Elaine is combining her two passions to teach Paddleboard Pilates on our NEW O'Shea Yoga Dock, exclusively for Offaxis.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact exercise form that aims to strengthen muscles whilst improving flexibility and postural alignment. It is one of few sports that is suitable for everyone; any age, gender, shape or size. Elaine's classes will include a warm-up, core control, conditioning, back-strengthening, whole-body exercises, flexibility, breathing techniques and relaxation. Ideal as a weekly exercise class, a one-off experience, or a gift for someone.
