Learn to SUP

Paddleboarding is relatively new to the UK but here in Abersoch, North Wales, we have been providing SUP lessons and hire for over 6 years and aim to have you paddling confidently after your first session. 

Our instructors & equipment

• All instructors are SLSA Wales qualified Beach Lifeguards  
  
• Emphasis on personalised SUP tuition in small groups
  
• Our instructors have extensive local area knowledge for confidence and safety  
  
• Up-to-date O'Shea, NSP and Slingshot inflatable boards for ease of learning  

What to expect

Arrive at our beach shack at the Warren for the start time of your lesson. We will kit you out with a wetsuit (and buoyancy aid if you require one), provided free of charge with the lesson. Then you will be ready to hit the water. The lesson will start with some beach safety and how to keep safe in the water while paddling. Then followed by a small warm up and stretch before we enter the water.  Our objective is to educate you about water safety and have you paddling the board with confidence and security. Equipped with the most up to date range of inflatable paddleboards, your learning, progression and enjoyment will be maximised.

Other information

• All participants to be aged 9 years+ and capable of a 50 metre swim in open water
  
• Please note we only run lessons when the conditions are right for Paddleboarding
• If we are not able to operate from the Warren, we can move the lessons to a suitable alternative location, dependent on the wind and tides
• 48 hours notice is required in order to cancel with no cost, cancellations within this period will be charged
• No payment is taken until the day of the lesson
• Please allow 2 hours from start to finish
• Please note this is based on a group lesson price and we require a minimum of 4 people to make the lesson run at this price
